Dear TriVersity Family,

Hello oh-so-fabulous ones! First off, we want to thank each of you for all the wonderful support you have given TriVersity this year. Mostly we laugh, sometimes we cry but our bond never breaks. You truly are our family. And now here comes the part where the family member begins begging for money at the Thanksgiving table. Don’t’ act like you didn’t see this coming.

TriVersity is currently celebrating its tenth year—10 years of offering support, education, and fellowship to the LGBTQ community and our allies at little or mostly no cost. Events like the Holiday Party, the Family Picnic, the Winter Film Series, and all of our support groups, like the P3 (People Promoting Pride) Youth Group and the Transgender Support Group, are free of charge. At events or programs where we do charge admission, like First Fridays, typically we are only seeking to recoup costs or, like at our annual Share Your Heart event, we are fundraising for other important organizations like the Ecumenical Food Pantry. While we do, from time to time, throw fundraisers to sustain our organization, even at our chief fundraising event, the Prom, we never turn anyone away for an inability to pay. With hate crimes against LGBTQ persons on the rise, having an established organization whose mission it is to serve as a safe space for a vulnerable population in a rural community is more important than ever. Better still is an organization who fulfills that mission year after year.

Yet in order to continue fulfilling our mission, we need the support of people like you. Your support is essential for us to continue providing all of our free or low-cost events and services to the LGBTQ community. No donation is too small. Also, know this. We are an All-Volunteer Organization therefore, your donations will not go toward anyone’s salary, only toward operating the Center, funding our events, and better supporting the LGBTQ community we serve.

Finally, even if you do not have the means to give a financial donation, consider giving your time. As we mentioned before, we are an All-Volunteer Organization, so volunteers are essential to performing all the work we do. If you are interested, reach out to us here.
